Returns and Refunds Policy
This policy applies to purchases made from Parts4Engines Limited. It does not affect your statutory rights.
Different rules apply depending on whether you are buying as a consumer or for business, trade or professional use. Where local consumer laws give you additional rights, those rights continue to apply.
Consumer Right to Cancel
If you are a consumer, meaning you are not purchasing for business, trade or professional use, you have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, for any reason.
If your order contains multiple items delivered separately, the 14-day cancellation period starts on the day you receive the final item or final package.
You do not have to give a reason for cancelling, although we may ask for one to help us improve our service.
Exceptions to the Right to Cancel
The right to cancel does not apply to all products. In particular, it may not apply to goods that are made to your specifications, clearly personalised, modified or otherwise customised for you.
The right to cancel also does not allow goods to be used beyond what is necessary to inspect them. For engine parts, fitting, installing, running, modifying or using an item will usually go beyond what would be considered reasonable inspection. If this happens, we may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value. This reduction may be up to the full value of the item where appropriate.
This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery.
How to Cancel
To cancel your order, please contact us before the end of the 14-day cancellation period.
- Please include:
- Your order number
- Your name
- Your contact details
- Details of the item or items you wish to cancel
- The reason for cancellation, if you are happy to provide one. This is not required, but it helps us improve our service.
You can contact us using any of the following methods:
Phone: +44 (0)114 2728 626
Email: support@parts4engines.com
Post: Parts4Engines Limited, Unit 9 Riverside Park, Sheaf Gardens, Sheffield, S2 4BB, United Kingdom
You may also use the model cancellation form at the end of this policy, but you do not have to use it.
Returning Your Order After Cancellation
Once you notify us that you wish to cancel, you must send the item or items back to us within 14 days.
Items should be returned complete, unused and in their original packaging where possible, including all components, seals, washers, fittings, instructions, labels and accessories supplied with the product.
You may inspect the item as you would in a shop. For engine parts, this means checking the product, packaging and fitment information, but not installing, fitting, running, modifying or using the item. For example, reasonable inspection may include checking part numbers, markings, dimensions, ports, threads, seals, fittings or comparing the item with the part being replaced or the relevant engine specification.
If an item has been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect it, we may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value. This reduction may be up to the full value of the item where appropriate.
Unless the item is faulty, incorrect or confirmed as damaged during delivery, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning it to us.
Please include a copy of your cancellation form, return authorisation or a note inside the package with your order number, name and contact details. You may also include the reason for return if you are happy to provide one. This helps us identify your return and process it quickly when it arrives.
Return address:

We recommend using a tracked shipping service and keeping proof of postage. You are responsible for the returned goods until they reach us, unless we arranged the return collection.
Refunds
We will process your refund within 14 days of receiving the returned item or items. For UK and EU consumer cancellation returns, where required by applicable consumer law, we will process your refund within 14 days of receiving valid proof that you have sent the item or items back, if this is earlier.
Valid proof may include a tracked courier receipt or proof of postage showing our return address, the date sent and the relevant tracking or reference number.
Once the return has been processed, we will notify you by email. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method where possible. Please allow up to 10 days for the refund to appear on your statement.
If we are unable to issue a refund via the original payment method, we will contact you to arrange an alternative.
Delivery Charge Refunds
If you are a UK or EU consumer and you cancel your entire order within the legal cancellation period, we will refund the standard outbound delivery charge you paid.
If you selected a premium, express or enhanced delivery option, we will refund only the equivalent cost of our standard delivery option. The additional cost of the premium, express or enhanced service is non-refundable unless the item is faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery.
If you cancel or return only part of an order, the original delivery charge will not usually be refunded unless required by law or unless the returned item was faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery.
For orders outside the UK and EU, delivery charges are non-refundable unless required by applicable local law or unless the item is faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery.
Where the item is faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery, we will cover reasonable delivery or return costs where required by law.
Import Taxes, Duties and Customs Charges
For international orders, import VAT, customs duty, taxes, courier handling fees, brokerage fees and other customs-related charges may apply.
If these charges are collected by Parts4Engines at checkout, we will refund the relevant amount we charged where required as part of a valid cancellation, return or refund, subject to applicable law and the way the original charges were collected.
If these charges are not collected by Parts4Engines at checkout, they are your responsibility and may be payable by you directly to the courier, postal operator, customs authority or another third party before delivery.
Charges paid directly by you to a courier, postal operator, customs authority or another third party are not usually refundable by Parts4Engines. You may be able to apply to the relevant courier, postal operator or customs authority for a refund, but this will depend on the rules in your country.
Refused Deliveries and Unpaid Import Charges
If you refuse delivery because you do not wish to pay import VAT, customs duty, taxes, courier handling fees, brokerage fees or other charges that were payable by you, this will be treated as a refused delivery rather than a faulty, damaged or incorrect item.
If a refused delivery is returned to us, we may deduct from any refund the reasonable costs we incur as a result of the refusal, including return shipping, courier charges, customs charges, storage charges and any loss in value, where permitted by applicable law.
If the parcel is abandoned, destroyed, seized by customs or not returned to us because import charges were not paid, we may be unable to issue a refund, or we may reduce the refund to reflect the costs and losses we incur, where permitted by applicable law.
This does not affect your statutory rights if the item is faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products
If you receive an item that is faulty, incorrect, not as described or appears to have been damaged during delivery, please contact us as soon as possible and before fitting, installing or using the item.
Please include:
- Your order number
- Your name
- A description of the issue
- Photos of the fault, damage or incorrect item where possible
We may ask for photos of the item, packaging and delivery label so we can assess the issue and investigate with the courier.
Where the item is faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery, we will arrange an appropriate remedy. This may include a repair, replacement or refund depending on the circumstances and your legal rights.
If you are a UK consumer, you may have a short-term right to reject faulty goods within 30 days of receiving them. After that period, you may be entitled to a repair or replacement, and in some cases a refund.
If an item is faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery, we will cover reasonable return shipping costs or provide a return method where appropriate.
Please do not fit, install, modify or continue using an item if you believe it may be faulty, incorrect, not as described or damaged. Doing so may affect your rights and our ability to assess the issue.
If you are returning a faulty, damaged or incorrect item, please include a completed returns form inside the package, or a note with your order number, name, contact details and a brief description of the issue. This helps us identify your return and process it quickly.
Orders That Have Not Arrived
If your order has not arrived by the expected delivery date, please contact us so we can investigate with the courier.
Unless a longer delivery period has been agreed with you, you may have the right to cancel and receive a refund if your order has not been delivered within 30 days.
For international orders, delivery times can vary due to customs checks, local postal delays and courier processing. Please contact us promptly if your order is delayed so we can help trace it.
Returning Items from Outside the UK
If you are returning an item from outside the UK, please mark the parcel clearly as “Returned Goods” on the customs declaration and include the original order details where possible.
Failure to complete the customs declaration correctly may result in customs charges, import VAT, duties, handling fees or delays. You will be responsible for any charges caused by incorrect or incomplete return documentation, unless the item is faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery.
Import VAT, customs duty, taxes, courier handling fees, brokerage fees and other customs-related charges paid by you directly to a courier, postal operator, customs authority or other third party are not usually refundable by Parts4Engines. You may be able to reclaim these from the relevant courier, postal operator or customs authority.
Items Returned Without Authorisation
We recommend contacting us before returning any item so we can give you the correct return instructions and help process your return quickly.
Your legal cancellation rights are not affected if you do not contact us first, provided you notify us of cancellation within the required period and return the goods within the required period.
Business and Trade Customers
If you are buying for business, trade or professional use, the consumer right to cancel does not apply.
We may accept business returns at our discretion, provided the item is unused, complete, in resaleable condition and returned within any timeframe agreed with us. Business returns may be subject to inspection, handling charges or restocking charges unless the item is faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery.
Nothing in this section affects any rights you may have if goods are faulty, incorrect, not as described or confirmed as damaged during delivery.
