From January 1st, 2021, the United Kingdom is no longer a member of the European Union Single Market or the Customs Union. Consequently, trade between the UK and EU is now subject to new agreements.

Key Consequences of Brexit for EU Customers:

  • Although the new agreement allows for zero-tariff trade between the UK and the EU, delivery couriers have increased shipping costs to cover additional bureaucracy.
  • Cross-border transit times may be slightly longer.
  • VAT is no longer collected by us at the point of sale for orders destined for EU countries. However, you will still need to pay VAT upon import when the goods arrive in your country.
  • Sales to the UK, including Northern Ireland, continue to incur 20% VAT, which will be applied during the order process.

Shipping Options

  • Option A – DPU (Delivered at Place, Unpaid): We offer this service via DHL, UPS, and FedEx. This option is available for all order values. If selected, you will be contacted by the courier before delivery to pay your country’s VAT and any disbursement fees. Payment can usually be made via an emailed payment link.
  • Option B – DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): We offer this service via FedEx only for orders with a total order value below £300.00 GBP (including shipping). The shipping rate for this option is higher because VAT is included in the shipping cost. If you choose this option, there will be nothing more to pay upon delivery. We strongly recommend this option when possible. Please note that FedEx does not offer this service to Greece or Portugal.

Business Customers – EORI Number: Business customers in the EU, Norway, and Switzerland must provide an EORI number to comply with Import Control System 2 (ICS2) rules. If an EORI number is not provided, your delivery will be rejected by customs and returned to us. Any costs incurred will be passed on to you.

Import Duties: We recommend that you familiarize yourself with import VAT and disbursement fees before placing an order. Fees in some countries, such as Greece and Portugal, can be particularly high. We suggest contacting your local customs authority to confirm costs before ordering. All prices on our website exclude VAT.

  • Important – Refusal to Pay Import Duties: If you refuse to pay import duties, the courier may destroy the parcel or return it to us. Return shipping costs can exceed the original shipping fee, and any associated costs may be deducted from your refund.

The table below provides an indication of typical courier EU service and disbursement fees. Please note that VAT will vary according to the destination country.
