Volvo Penta MD2020 Raw Water Pump End Cover Kit - Early Pump

The end covers on these pumps tend to wear, resulting in poor sealing of the impeller, lower flow rates and premature failure of the impeller vanes. Our end cover kit engine mounted raw (sea) water pump Volvo Penta MD2020 is made from high quality components.

In the list of available options please choose either the first option that fits the EARLY Jabsco sea water pump fitted originally on Volvo Penta MD2020 A and B version of this engine, OR the LATE Johnson end cover kit for the raw water pump fitted on late model engines such MD2020B, MD2020C and MD2020D.

An easy check of which type of pump you have is to look at the design of the pump end cover; the earlier Jabsco pumps have a round cover, whilst the later Johnson pumps have a non symmetrical cover. See the photos above which show the differing gasket designs.

• Our early end cover kit fits Volvo Penta MD2020A & MD2020B (up to serial no. 51012030076) with 9.5mm diameter shaft
• The late kit fits Volvo Penta later MD2020B from serial no. 5101203007, MD2020C and MD2020D
