Volvo Penta MD22 Raw Water Pump, Impeller & Service Kit
Aftermarket replacement impeller, service and rebuild kits for all factory marinised versions Volvo Penta MD22 fitted with the bronze engine OR belt driven raw water Pump
Please note that there were two different raw water pumps used on these engines, with the early versions (Cam Driven) MD22A & MD22L-A, having a 'Jabsco' pump fitted, and the later versions (Belt Driven) MD22L-B & MD22P-B having a 'Johnson' Pump An easy check of which type of pump you have is to look at the design of the parts shown in the pictures.
Our impellers are excellent quality, 12 blade neoprene rubber impeller on a splined brass coupling with the following dimensions.
- Impeller diameter 57 mm
- Shaft diameter 16 mm
- Impeller width 31.5 mm
- The 'impeller kit' includes an impeller, tube of glycerine lubricant, end-plate gasket and full fitting instructions.
- The 'service kit' enables you to stop a water leak from your Pump It includes the above parts, along with a set of end plate screws, a 2nd type of gasket (for the early version only), a high quality nitrile rubber water seal (with stainless spring) which locates in the pump body behind the impeller wear plate, a pump mounting gasket and a tube of thread and gasket sealant.
- The 'rebuild kit' (Early) includes all the above service kit parts, along with the rear oil seal, a pair of drive shaft bearings, impeller wear plate, front cover plate, cam plate and securing screw with washer and drive shaft.
- The 'rebuild kit' (Late) includes all the above service kit parts, along with a pair of drive shaft bearings and front cover plate.
