Customer Story: Alfa Romeo A12 Car Transporter

Because the Perkins 4.108 is such a versatile engine and we've seen it used in all manner of vehicles from sailboats, to tanks and tractors. One of our customers in Latvia got in touch as he's restoring a wonderful Alfa Romeo A12 Car Transporter.

We supplied him with a head gasket set and what we believe was the last genuine Perkins 4.108 heads left in the world and we recently received the following update from him:

"Hi,

Would like to update you on status of my engine restoration.New engine head I get from P4E is perfect! Installed it to my engine, adjusted valves, connected injectors, etc. Started engine, all looks good, after some 10min discovered oil leak next to 1^st cylinder from rocker cover.

Removed cover, cleaned everything again, close. Leave it to stay till next day morning. Started engine and after 10min same type leak, from different place now. When installing gasket, using also special gasket glue which usually helps for small imperfections of gaskets.
