Volvo Penta 2001, 2002, 2003 & 2003T Injector Pump Shim Kit

Aftermarket Volvo Penta 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2003T Injector Pump Shim Kit.

Kit Includes:

• x2 Dark shims - Hard - 0.3mm
• x2 Light blue shims - Medium - 0.2mm
• x2 Green shims - Soft - 0.1mm 

These shims can be configured to achieve the following thicknesses, if required: 1.1mm, 1mm, 0.9mm, 0.8mm, 0.7mm, 0.6mm and 0.5mm.

Important Information:

Volvo Penta 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2003T engines are fitted with individual fuel injection pumps, one for each cylinder. The 2001 is fitted with one fuel injection pump, the 2002 with two and the 2003 and 2003T with three.

This shim kit is supplied for one fuel injection pump only. If you are replacing the shims for all injection pumps, one kit will be required for the 2001, two kits for the 2002 and three kits for the 2003 and 2003T.

The required total shim thickness will vary between individual injection pumps and positions on the block. Always ensure the correct shim thickness is used for each pump and its mounting position on the block, according to the total of the numbers stamped on the block and pump.

Technical Information:

These shims fit between each individual fuel injection pump and the engine block and are used to set the correct injection pump height and thus the correct fuel injection timing.

Different shim thicknesses are supplied to achieve the required overall thickness for the individual engine and injection pump setup.
