Perkins 4.236 Series Alternator
High quality Perkins 4.236 alternators 12V, earth and insulated returned, fit all versions (including marine) of these engines set up for a 'three lug' mounted alternator or 'two bolt' for lowline of these Perkins 4.236 engines. The adjuster arm securing bolt is at a 120 degree angle to the mounting arms as can be seen from the photos and diagram and note that the mounting bolt is on the right. These alternators take the earth (-) connection from the mounting to the engine block. Whereas the 'isolated earth' alternator requires a separate cable to supply an earth. Electrical output connections are for battery (+) and alternator warning lamp and an AC terminal for a tachometer.
For the alternators not supplied with pulleys the existing one can be re-used.

- Option 4. 12V 70A - With Pulley, 2 Bolt, For Lowline Engines fits the Perkins 4.236 'lowline' marine engine. The adjuster arm securing bolt is at a 180 degree angle to the mounting arms as can be seen from the photos. Supplied with cooling fan and pulley for 13 mm (1/2" inch) belt
- Option 6. 14V 70A With Pulley, Right Hand is supplied with pulley for 13 mm (1/2" inch) belt
- Option 7. 12V 90A With Pulley, Right Hand is supplied with pulley for 13 mm (1/2" inch) belt
